The Italian ceramics and design fair surrenders to COVID19, postponing its appointment to next year.

How is the ceramic district of Sassuolo facing this difficult year?

For sure without giving up but relaunching, investing and proposing, like it has always been in its history and tradition, that history which has made it a world leader in ceramic production, both in terms of technology and design.

Investments and Innovation

Companies are continuing to invest in technological innovation to further strengthen “Made in Italy” in the world, without neglecting the improvements in production processes and environmental performance, aware that sustainability is a strategic point for global competitiveness.

In dark and crisis moments you have to invest and try to seize the opportunities that present themselves; this is the challenge accepted by the most important and famous ceramic district in the world. Investments on production lines, which in months and years of production at full capacity would be very difficult, and important investments for the safety of production workers, and all this without neglecting the aforementioned technological investments.

New Made in Italy Design Ceramic Collections

The major Ceramics companies already let know that they are ready to launch new collections on the market, to consolidate Made in Italy Design on a global scale, organizing events in their headquarters, using their commercial sales channels and also online, a tool which is always more frequently used by traders and consumers.

Trends seem to lead to the further development of Large Slabs, with increasingly attractive aesthetics and formats, but there also seems to be a return to smaller sizes, proposed as coverings and floors, with a return to tastes of the past revisited in a modern key.

The appointment, then, is for the last quarter of 2020, to get to know together the most captivating trends of the Made in Italy ceramics.
